Whilst still early days, sadly, I see no way Rambo stays beyond next season if we keep Raya. He’s too good to be a bench keeper.

People like Ramsdale and Smith Rowe and are experiencing dissonance over the fact that the guy (Arteta) who took us to the dance has his own ideas about what will take us forward.

I prefer Raya to Ramsdale so far. If he doesn’t do it Ramsdale may get his chance or maybe we will go for someone else.

    This the game.

Haven’t seen this comment yet, so I’ll say it: the blocked shot from Alvarez stems from Gabriel underhitting the backpass to Raya, not from anything that Raya did. He could’ve played it away first time, but that’s what Arteta specifically said post-match he did not want to happen.

There are other teams in the tournament. 4th or 5th best England player means he wasn’t one of the best players in the tournament.

Regardless of that I don’t think he is good enough for an elite side currently and needs to e playing regularly for his own development.

Yea they are good enough for top 4 club but not for challenging title or cl.

Yet Eddie and Ramsdale both literally contributed in quite big ways for a club that literally challenged for a title

Eddie has to be the next to get this treatment. I like him but I’ve now seen enough to know he gets too complacent when given a chance.

Spot on, will be interesting to see how people on this sub react, have a feeling there will be much less controversy than replacing Ramsdale and ESR not getting matches. Realistically our front three should be Saka Jesus Martinelli from right to left and then Eddie is okay as a backup. With injuries and the amount of games/estandards we need another forward option that can be a clinical finisher or target man at least. Eddie reminds me so much of a young Welbeck, meets the eye test in a lot of ways, works really hard, just doesn’t have the skill for the very top.

Name a more iconic duo than Neville spouting narrative and it having no factual basis. This is just this weeks “Corner kicks are taking too long” even though they were lower than the league average.

Never been more grateful Raya recovered his performance on the weekend and we won, because this discourse would be even more insufferable over the international break.

So because someone disagrees with you they “definitely didn’t watch it”.

He is a 23 year old playing u21 football so should be dominating but he didn’t. Most non-Arsenal fans have him being one of Englands least impressive players over the tournament

Would they get on the pitch for Bayern/Madrid/Man City? Because those are the level of teams we are now competing with

Ramsdale probably does get gametime at Bayern ahead of a 37 year old and increasinly injured Neur and Sven Ulreich

Eddie also probably gets game time at Madrid and Munich, as a back up 9, Madrid just have Joselu up top and Bayerns back up to Kane is Chupo Moting

Our team and our players really are not as bad as people want to make them out to be for some reason

Too good to be a bench keeper but not good enough to be first keeper for a title challenging team. It depends on what he wants.

No it isn’t. Do you think either of them get serious minutes for any of the serious CL contenders right now?
