I just downloaded the boost app since it released early access, but I’m encountering a problem where I can’t view communities, specifically those hosted on burggit. I can load all the posts in both my subscribed and local feeds, including every last bit of nfsw, as well as access NSFW on other instances. When I try to open a community, including sfw ones, it just gives a 404 error. Since the problem seems instance specific, I figured I’d ask here first before sending a bug report for the app, but if it’s beyond you guy’s control, I’ll just go there instead.
Also a boost user, getting the exact same issue. Would love to know if a fix is ever found. And if this issue is related to why on boost, accounts in other instances that are federated with burggit cannot search for or find the majority of burggit communities. Unless that is something done intentionally?
You may need to retry it a few times because federation is kinda weird like that.
An update: got my hands on the apk via apkmirror and debugged it, and now it should be fixed. Don’t know why I have to do these hacky URI replacements. I even tried Lemmy’s stock config and it gives me a 404 there too.Scratch that I got to the bottom of the issue and these odd 404s should be fixed without needing any hacks.
By chance I reread a JSON string that was returned by the /api/v3/site endpoint when I was debugging and noticed remnants of our old domain in there (lemmy.burger.rodeo). I went into the DB and switched it over to the new domain.
