I had some feedback that the existing path should “just be widened”, but after looking into it more I now understand the concerns that had been raised about dawdling tourists conflicting with high-speed bike and scooter traffic. Plus, the cost of the temporary adjustment is probably lower than repaving the footpath, and the area outside the museum is going to be narrowed temporarily during the renovations anyway, so the “just widen it” approach won’t work at for much of the 5-year period.
I really like our community board, some very talented and passionate people like Emma Norish and Simon Britten do a great job representing our community.
