From Owl Rescue Centre
You’ll remember this little lady we’ve posted about before-the one who goes “window shopping” around Fourways and whom we’ve “rescued” and relocated to the Lonehill Koppie on a few occasions.
When we were asked on Saturday to come rescue her again, we realized that with it being the middle of Spotted Eagle-Owl breeding season, it was wiser to leave her be in case she had owlets nearby.
Sure enough, Pick n Pay at Fourways Crossing called us today to rescue two big owlets sitting right in front of their shop! They can sort of fly, just not very well yet. We moved them to a quieter, safer spot nearby where their parents can easily continue caring for them.
If Pick n Pay loves owls, you know what to do 😉

Very accommodating to step onto the ladder and wait for your rescuer.
“My ladder now, hooman.”
What did owl expect sitting next to a pet store?
“Uhhh…uhh… sss… squawk squawk, I’m not an owl, I’m a parrot.”
Ah yes, the Hoot Askewniverse films.
