Honestly, i would buy a slightly bigger house, a nice holiday, put away a chunk for my kids inheritance and then give the rest away. I dont need all that money. I dont care if people think i am dumb for that. I dont want it. Other people need it.

Pay off my loans, set aside some for the kids college fund, some for retirement, then the rest to charities I’ve always wanted to give to but never could in a meaningful way

If that is in fact true, then that’s incredibly generous of you and I wish all the billionaires of the world would think like you.

People look at me with such skepticism when i talk like this, i just don’t want for crazy money. Sure i want some luxuries in life and want to be comfortable. But i don’t have a clue what i could spend millions and millions on. Especially when there are so many suffering in the world.

But people just cant believe it when i say it. Honestly makes me feel like i grew up on another planet when i see the greed in peoples eyes as they cant cope with the idea that i would give my money away.

You can also point out how greater wealth tends to attract problems; just look at how many lottery winners end up losing their fortunes and sometimes even worse off than they were prior.
