My week was good! I had a week off work, we took the kids out of school / nursery for 4 days and spent the week at CenterParcs. Everyone had a great time! Did lots of activities, and spent far too much money (if you’ve ever been, you’ll know lol). But it was worth it.

Oh man, I’ve looked at those packages and just couldn’t do it. Do you need one of those blankets firemen put on people they’ve saved? I would.

Does sound like a fun week. I’m pretty overdue for a vacation but we’ve just moved and the wife is still building up leave at her new job. Was it the one near Bedford with the tropical garden pool? I used to dream of getting out there sometime, but we never got the chance.

If you book outside of the school holiday’s then they’re not too bad. It’s more than double the price during the school holidays and even the activities themselves can be more expensive.

I really enjoy the “no cars” rule they have, so all the little roads through the forest is used by people on bikes, and it’s nice and peaceful.

We went to the one at Whinfell Forest in Cumbria. I’m not sure what the others are like but apparently it’s got one of the best pools.

The one I was thinking of is Woburn forest, and yeah it looks like they’re cut from the same cloth. I should do a cheeky non-school holiday sometime, makes sense it’d be cheaper.

Last week was cool. I’ve gotten back into brewing. I’ve got a bucket of apfelwein going now, plan is to use my carbonator and different cordials to keep it interesting over the summer. Should finish dry at around 16%, pretty excited.

Trying to draw more, hard to find subjects that keep me interested. Too much video games, should read more. Feels like my imagination fell asleep.

Last week was second consecutive week of travelling for work. Not a fan! Weekend was a fair bit of garden work & BBQ both days. I am a fan of that!

Few years ago I was working away from home (each week) for 3 months.

An opening for a different (manager) role opened up, working from home. I got the job and now I barely leave the house.

Think I preferred the previous role 🙂

I work from home all the the time, travelling for work does sound appealing sometimes! Did you have to stay away or just lots of travelling per day?

What did you have for the BBQ? :D

I was abroad, three days one week and four days the other. Travelling for work can be appealing, but the appeal wears off quite quickly. There only so many airports and hotels you can take before it becomes boring. Oh, and you are tired all the time especially if you are traveling across multiple timezones.

For BBQ we did burgers one day, and steaks and vegetable skewers with garlic potatoes the other day. Next weekend weather does not look great, but if it improves I might consider making pork ribs.
