Albert Pyun’s original cut of Cyborg was a dark, two-hour black-and-white rock opera with Van Damme’s dialogue dubbed by another actor.
Pyun & folks were able to put it together thanks to some VHS tapes his long-time composer still had for scoring the film.
It was available for order direct from Pyun himself, but now coming out on commercial released discs.
Rock opera?! I gotta see this.
I don’t remember much about Cyborg, but I remember being very disappointed in that movie.
You’re better off than I am. I’m pretty sure I watched it, but I don’t remember a single thing, even after watching the trailer. I’ma have to watch the original again then hunt down the new one.
As a fan of many bad Van Damme movies, cyborg was so bad I could not finish it…
