Last year I made a post on this subreddit listing my “educated” predictions on the future of Valve hardware - mainly that after the Deck, their next goals will be for a home console and a standalone VR Headset.

What does everyone think? Is Valve actually preparing to release a standalone console running Steam OS 3 and a wireless HMD? Personally, I think it’s very likely, it’s good in times like these, to look back to *before* the steam deck was officially announced and reflect on the community’s thoughts on what was at that time - the steam pal. Many didn’t believe it would actually be a viable handheld, a gaming unit made by Valve after the failure of the steam machines… yet here we are!
