Can anybody not on macstack see stuff here? What if I want people to find my posts, do hashtags work here? But it also would be a good idea to have private/members only parts of macstack, like we had in the old forums. By the way, I already joined another community, posted there, got a reply, and got a notification here. That’s cool, all good. But I still couldn’t upload an image there.

    Okay, I’m not sure whether you’re asking:

    1. whether things within “Site Discussion” are public to people using macstack.net
    2. whether things within “Site Discussion” are public to people using other communities
    3. whether things within macstack.net are public to people using other lemmy sites

    The answer for now is yes to all three.

    And are you able to upload images now?

    And you can include and search for any #hashtag. The search seems to work pretty well.
