Hello! My network connection consists of a Bell Modem + a TP-Link Router in AP mode. After reconnecting my wifi in the past, I got it to always connect to my router’s AP however after Bell went down and restarted, I no longer can get it to connect. Both the router and modem have the same SSID in AP mode and devices usually connect to the proper one based on distance. My modem’s strength is at like 60% for my PC, while the router is at 98% and the same room.
I’ve used NetSetMan to try to manually get it to connect to the router’s mac address however right away it switches back to the Modem’s one. The router is working since my phone is connected to the right one.
Any idea how to fix this via Windows or even NetSetMan? Any suggestions on how to get my PC to connect to my router, which has higher strength, than the modem?
I do notice the modem says “6ghz” even though the label says 5ghz while the router is at 5ghz for both labels - not sure if that matters.
Thank you!
