Hey all, so I’ve been trying to figure out a way to get better internet throughout our rental home. I recently found this panel in the master closet and realized that the house appears to be hardwired already. I was hoping someone could confirm for me that the following would work.
- Plug in Comcast Router to Coax (have to figure out which one)
- Plug that into 6 port switch
- Unplug the top blue cables and plug them into the switch
- Test ports in rooms (I’m assuming they all work right now)
I’m guessing the gray cables coming from the orange holes are for phone? I really have no idea. Each room on the panel has a plate with 2 ports. “Loft” is the only room I can’t figure out the location of as we do not have a loft.
If this is correct this will greatly help my situation and require me to only need to run 1 cable to a room in the house that has zero connections for anything (coax/ethernet).
Any insight would be great! Thank you!
