My Zotac GTX1080ti crashes when it is not underclocked.
The crashes are fixed when i underclock my memory via MSI afterburner, core clock does not seem to be the cause. I also tried keeping stock clocks and lowering the power limit to 80%, the crashes keep happening.
When my games crash, it is visble in the resources manager as a GPU usage spike to 100% usage and then 0%. It is also visible by windows as a “hardware error livekernelevent”. I have already tried cleaning with DDU and installed the latest NVIDIA drivers.
I was wondering if maybe overvolting my memory chip would help stabilize my GPU ? I think of this like overclocking works on CPU (overvolting to keep up with overclocks)
Thank you for your help !
I currently have a 600W PSU, GTX1080ti, 32GB DDR5 6000Mhz, Ryzen 7500F. The crashes were the same on my old I7 4790K with DDR3.
