- I don’t have a portable running SteamOS, but I still benefit. In the last few years support has gotten to the point that I forget to check ProtonDB before buying a game and, at least so far, it hasn’t bitten me in the butt. - Helps that I don’t play anything that runs anticheat, though. - I’m in the same boat. Just buy games. Don’t care if it’s supported by Proton. If it’s not now, it will be soon. That’s how I feel. So far, everything I’ve bought has worked flawlessly. 
 
- It still provides the best experience in that market. The steam deck is what gave me the confidence to move my desktop from Windows to Linux, which I am still on. 
- Mine still sees regular use after 2.5 years. - Same. I’ve got mine docked to my living room TV with wireless controllers and a wireless mouse on it. We play coop games like Tetris, Diner Bros, What the Golf?, and Brawlhalla. 
 
- The “PC” in that statement is doing a lot of heavy lifting.
