Cancellation refund from Saudia
My husband booked a flight with Saudia last night to and from the US for a trip in April. From what I understand of the DOT’s and airline’s policy, we’re entitled to a full refund of we cancel within 24 hours. When we try to cancel on the website, however, it’s charging us a cancelation fee. Calling their customer service number has been no help as they seem to have exactly one representative (we’ve called multiple times) who is under the impression that the policy means that the flight needs to depart within 7 days for a full refund. We explained that what he was telling us what directly opposite what we were reading on the DOT website and he told us to contact their legal team (and that he couldn’t give us a number, we’d just have to Google it). I called again and this time he gave me an email address to send a refund request to but obviously they won’t be responding until after it’s been 24 hours. Has anyone dealt with this or have any suggestions on what we can do next?
