I need to buy something online and I don’t want this to have anything to do with my bank card and I don’t want anyone to know that I made that purchase.

I was going to buy a store Visa/Mastercard gift card, which can be used right after being purchased, you don’t have to do anything else. However, then I was told that I had to have a bank card in order to purchase a Visa/Mastercard gift card.

This shocked me. Because if I use my bank card to buy the gift card, then it’s like my bank card is kind of “connected” to the gift card, isn’t it?

If I use the gift card to buy something online later, it’s not an anonymous purchase.

He said that the gift card company requires this, but why would the gift card company do this?

I thought the whole point of buying gift cards was for anonymity.

If I use my bank card to buy a gift card and then use the gift card to shop online, will anyone know that I made the purchase?

Is there any other way you can help my situation?
