In chapter 69 of Oathbringer, Adolin says to Kaladin:

“We like you anyway. Every boy has a favorite stick he found out in the yard after the rains.”

Is this foreshadowing? Is Kaladin the Stick? This would make it Shallan’s true first interaction with him, with the Stick’s stubbornness setting up their later turbulence.
