I just spent three days in there with something scary going on and every single nurse and Dr that I interacted with, was LOVELY. All the day shift team were so nice and helpful, the night time team who had to wake me every hour during the night to take bloods etc were so polite and lovely. Being in hospital for the first time as an adult, with a condition that can possibly kill you, is scary enough, try being autistic at the same time, and its a nightmare. But wow, the entire team were just so kind and didnt treat me like I was stupid or below them, or that I was wasting their time or anything. Amazing people, really blown away by the level of care that I felt. Even though I know they were super busy and probably understaffed, they never once put that on me or made me feel bad if I needed something. Thank you so much AAU!!
