My favorite Sisko mood is when he’s breaking down or really angry. Like when he’s yelling at Odo about calling the cops in Far Among the Stars:
You go ahead! Call them! Call anybody you want. They can’t do anything to me. Not anymore. And nor can any of you. I am a human being, damn it. You can deny me all you want but you cannot deny Ben Sisko. He exists! That future, that space station, all those people, they exist in here. In my mind, I created it. And every one of you know it. You read it. It’s here. You hear what I’m telling you? You can pulp a story but you cannot destroy an idea. Don’t you understand? That’s ancient knowledge. You cannot destroy an idea. That future, I created it, and it’s real. Don’t you understand? It is real! I created it and it’s real! It’s real! Oh, God. (Benny collapses, sobbing.)
He seems so happy and cheerful in the first couple of episodes. I remember it catching me off guard when he finally gets angry

Which is understandable when this is angry:
That isn’t a display of The Sisko being angry. That’s The Sisko lightly miffed. This is The Sisko angry:
One man’s tantrum is another man’s genocide.
That was odd. There was a “blink and you miss it” reference that it’s not poison for Cardassians, and another indicating that the Maquis and Cardassians simply traded colonies after Eddington did a bio-warfare and Sisko countered with a chemical-warfare.
Don’t forget the mood “goo goo for babies”
Mood number 3 is joviality:
When you watch the “OW!!!” video when he gets to relive meeting Jennifer, I think it counts as joviality. His joviality is just punctuated by socially awkward noises.
Mood 4 is indignation-
”I’m not Picard”
Had to flesh out the whole moment. You know how it goes.
There’s really 2 things to note about that scene and episode;
First, it was totally the writers letting the earl grey drinkers know he wasn’t going to be another Picard.
Secondly, and very importantly, Q never fucks with sisko again.
Imagine Paddy’s replacing Quark’s.
