Ordered a 49” Samsung Odyssey G9. The Nvidia logo on the bottom left should be green, but it’s grey. Customer support told me that some are grey and some are green….
I ordered a 49” Samsung Odyssey G9 directly from Samsung.com. The monitor arrived and it had a big pixelated red/green line down the middle so I initiated a return. The Nvidia logo on that monitor was as described, which is green. Which is what is shown on the website.
When I received my replacement, first thing I noticed was the logo was grey instead of green. For a moment I got excited, hoping it was a neo g9 since I think they have the grey logo, but nope. I confirmed it’s a regular G9.
Now, I call up support many times, and no one has any idea why it has a grey logo. They send it to their upper tier support, and they NEVER called me back. So I called weeks later. They said that support tried reaching out to me via phone and I didn’t answer. That’s a huge lie, I never got a call.
I get transferred to all different customer support people, finally one guy says that some are made with the grey logo and some are with the green logo. So I asked him if Samsung’s quality control is that poor, that it just randomly decides what color to print the Nvidia logo on the G9 model. He said that if I want any more information that I have to ask Sales…and that since it’s over the required time to specify a problem, that I’m not eligible for a return either. He was pretty rude. All I wanted was a real explanation. So here I am, does Samsung randomly select the color of the Nvidia logo? Is their quality control that terrible? I wonder what else gets randomly selected in the internals…
