The consoles that make up the Retro section are arbitrary and it adds needless complexity particularly for Nintendo and Sega consoles. For example, 1996’s Nintendo 64 is considered retro but 1994’s PlayStation and 1991’s(!) Sega CD are not. Meanwhile, the other Genesis/MegaDrive add-on, the 32X, is considered retro. The Sega CD and 32X were even discontinued before the release of the Nintendo 64.

I think moving the Nintendo and Sega consoles into their respective pages and renaming “Retro & Arcade” to something like “Other consoles & Arcade” would make more sense.

If a retro section must exist, I’d argue that the PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Gamecube, OG Xbox, and ALL Sega consoles should be in it.

What are the communities thoughts on the matter? Maybe those who complain about the usability of the Megathread could chime in with some constructive criticism.

Last minute thought: Maybe BIOS links could just be their own page.
