Every year Qualcomm chips are supposed to beat Apple. Every following year this SoC doesn’t even beat previous gen Apple one. Will this year be the year? Seriously doubt it even if I wish for more competition. Not that it really matters since most phones are performant enough for couple of years now.

They were promising the world before the release of the Snapdragon X and it barely was able to beat out current x86 offerings on efficiency, while not being able to match performance (I am ignoring the massive issues with software and peripheral compatibility for the sake of argument).
