After the reveal that Penguin screwed her at the start this was the perfect time to get her backstory. Milioti obviously killed it. Although she still looked pretty good after six months of torture, but maybe that was just a way to show that she never fully lost herself (and she definitely lost part of it, see Magpie).

I know the show is called The Penguin but this is the first time I started to wonder, maybe he isn’t going to make it. Oz has nothing. Sophia now has everything. That’s probably how I’m supposed to feel. I don’t want to lose either, but honestly I’m happy whomever wins.
