I won’t include any spoilers here. I just watched this film, Creepy, by the same director who made the Japanese thriller, Cure; Kiyoshi Kurosawa. It’s about a detective who specializes in psychopaths and gets stabbed on the job. A year later he works as a professor, and his wife and him move to a new neighborhood. Here they meet their neighbor, who is the creepy person the title refers to.

It’s well filmed and acted. However, it was extremely frustrating to watch because it’s one of those movies where peoples’ actions make no sense. Sloppy police work, dumb decisions, common sense thrown completely out the window. Weak writing. Still worth watching, and I found the brainwashing aspect of the film interesting, because it is almost a metaphor for what happens in some families. I’m curious if anyone else has watched this movie and what you thought of it.
