Just finished watching The Lady Vanishes. Great film, love Hitchcock, but at one point when a character is whistling I thought “Wow whistling, that’s how you know a films old”. And I had to stop for a second and realize that whistling now seems antiquated, but when did that happen? A quick Google search said it’s not just films but whistling in general has declined in popularity, largely because new music can’t be whistled lol. Strange how something so common can now seem outdated by a century. Just a random thought in the middle of the night.
