Hi there! I am new to Linux and recently switched from Ubuntu to Fedora.

I am facing an issue in which when I turn on the Hotspot and try to connect to it using my smartphone it says invalid password or not able to connect.

Here’s what I tried

  • Internet working (yes)

  • Hotspot working (yes)

Smartphone is able to connect to other Hotspots but not with mine. Also I tried with other phones and the error still persists. Can anyone tell me how can I fix this

Also when I run the command “nmcli connection” I saw that there are multiple instances of Hotspot with different UUID. Do you guys think this might be causing it? If yes how can I fix it?

Apart from this I saw post with kind of same bug and it suggested me to run

nmcli connection down Hotspot

nmcli connection modify Hotspot 802-11-wireless-security.pmf 1

nmcli connection up Hotspot

However this also didn’t work and shows the following Warning
