I’m a windows user who has bought a separate computer from my windows desktop solely for browsing the internet.

I’m looking for a hardened OS that will by default improve my privacy and security when browsing online.

  • I don’t need anonymity (i.e tor) and want fast downloads.
  • It must allow me to save files to my network drive.
  • It should be simple and easy to use for non-technical user (i.e open browser and browse without having to worry “am I configured correctly to be private and secure”)
  • Inbuilt security features such as sandboxing individual apps, and others would be nice.

Is there anything out there that fits this bill (or close to) that you would recommend?

Many Thanks
