man whats up with socdems and roses is that like a historical thing, was there an early big socdem party that had a rose or something. I mean I associate them with killing Rosa Luxemburg but im guessing it has nothing to do with that.
It was created by the French in the 1960s as an alternative to the hammer and sickle because of anti-soviet sentiment. It’s supposed to represent a better world and the solidarity needed to reach it.
German socdems being like “we have to save democracy from the far right” but then let the far right write all their election platforms and policy proposals.

I don’t even consider the Social Democrats as Eurocommunists I think the Democratic Socialists are closer to Eurocommunism like Syriza Die Linke Sumar or American examples like the DSA
Not even that. Also these parties have been dismantling the welfare state oddly enough, just at different speeds
the turkish one is a real head-scratcher. they are mostly the same as erdoğan’s party but with atatürk. the worst part is that they are even more disgusting when the topic is minorities, migrants, social services etc. turkey has always been a lost cause (except a brief period in the late 70s which was brutally crushed by the army), and it probably always will be.
