Gee, have to say - while its a freak accident, the cut Tyrel Lomax took is pretty nasty and it came from what i’ve seen described as plastic blades (as opposed to studs I suppose?) on Willemse’s boot. Anybody know what the heck they are?

Also, when I was a wee lad, before the referee would blow for kick off all players had to show the studs of your boots to make sure they weren’t too long and didn’t have any burrs / sharp bits. Might be time for World Rugby to implement the same for the Cup! ;)
