In regards to the atomic bombing I never hear about what the perspective of those under Japanese occupation were during that time. I don’t even hear it brought up in the morality of the atomic bombing which has always kind of confused me because if the war continued for even a few more months is their any estimate in how many more people would have perished?

Or even about the Japanese soldiers cut off wasnt their like hundreds of thousands still stuck on islands dying from malnutrition?

And if we just used a blockade of Japan instead of invasion wouldn’t that of just killed hundreds of thousands of civilians too?
