After bingwatching all of Brandon James Greer’s videos, I draw my first character: Babalisa.

It looks really good. Also awesome to see snippets of how you got to the final result.
My only critique is the (test tube)? At first, I thought they were holding a can of air freshener but then I thought it could be a test tube or a a vegetable like a leek. The aroma/mist makes me think it’s a test tube.
I was trying to think of a way to improve it (assuming it is a test tube). I think for sprite work, it needs to be over exaggerated. Maybe trying using a flask instead? The shape is a bit more iconic for the limited detail you can have in sprites.

Indeed, it’s intended to be a test tube. I think you’re right, an erlenmeyer or florence flask would work much better.
