My sleep schedule has been ruined since finishing school. I basically stay up till 5am most nights and wake up around 3pm. Sometimes I even just don’t sleep then just fall asleep at my desk uncontrolably and wake up at 9pm to start my day, basically making me nocturnal. So I need help with 2 things.

My huge teenage brain plan is to stay up all day until 10 pm where I will sleep for 11 hours to and wake up at a normal time (9am) and force myself into a regular 8 hour sleep schedule no matter how hard till I get used to it and my circadian rhythm is fixed. Problem is I have tried this before and the same thing happens every time. I just can’t stay awake, fall asleep at like 1pm and become nocturnal again and I’m just stuck in that cycle.

Pls sm1 help me, how do I actually just stay awake. I drink so much coffee but can still sleep like a baby.

Secondly once I have achieved my plan how do I maintain it. I don’t know what it is but I know it’s a problem. I’ll say I’ll sleep at midnight of something but when the time comes I just don’t sleep. I end up just staying awake I just can’t control it.

Gimme advice those of you more experienced in life, even if my plan sucks.
