      Plex is fine for content delivery but they are pushing their own media services and require payment for more advanced features and some devices, which some fear will only get worse over time. Jellyfin is nearly as good for media playback but fully free and open source.

        It’s the nearly part that is keeping me away from jellyfin for now. But if plex enshittifies, I’ll switch straight to jellyfin
