As a car enthusiast, I want everyone including myself to only have to take mass transit to get where we want to go. I want roads to be narrow, twisty and out of the way. Driving should be for fun, not a necessity.
Your hostile attitude turns off potential allies in the car enthusiast community.
Coulnd’t agree more. If I am travelling for work I’d much prefer to take a train (so I can do some actual work while commuting) over my car. Sadly, public transportation outside major cities in Canada is a joke.
And one that’s been getting less and less funny every year as the governments pumps money into infrastructure projects (roads) while neglecting public transport (wage stagnation, routes being cancelled, etc.)

You can’t have one without the other, unless you want to drive your car and expect everyone else to take a bus.

Also a car enthusiast, I fully agree. I’d love to take public transit to work and only use my car when I wanted to.

I love my new car. I hate driving to work. I’d love to sleep on the hour drive to work, and the hour drive back.
What I want is to be able to drive to the grocery store, where the parking is underground and not a blight on the city.
What I want is open roads so I can drive because I want to and not because I need to.
