Your CPR doesn’t contain letters?
It’s your date of birth, eg. 010101 for the 1st of January 2001, and then four more numbers, to distinguish you from other people born on the same date. The CPR number usually takes the form XXXXXX-XXXX

that’s weird cause I’m my CPR three of the last four symbols are letters. Maybe it’s cause it’s on Optagelse but I don’t know why.

Where are you reading your CPR off from? Are you sure it’s a CPR? Do you have a yellow health card?
According to CPR themselves, numbers with letters aren’t a real CPR number, but a replacement number so one can still use some specific IT systems needing it.

it’s weird cause it’s in the right format of having the gender, name etc

Yeah, please see my supplied links.
Having letters isn’t the real format. If it contains letters, it means that it’s not a real CPR number but a replacement one. I think this is the conclusion

It’s off the Optagelse portal and it’s just got ‘CPR:’ before it.

Is it a temporary CPR?

It might be, I didn’t know it was a thing but it probably is.

A real CPR number is made by the kommune, not Optagelse.dk. Pretty sure this is a temporary number. Do you live in Denmark yet?
