I have a fairly typical SG13 setup, 140mm intake at the front and 92mm exhaust zip tied to the frame beside the CPU. I’m wondering if flipping both fans around would be better for cooling, and has anyone tried this?
My temps are actually great when gaming, but if the CPU is at full load for a long time (rpcs3, basically), it will get pretty toasty and eventually thermal throttle. I’m wondering if having the 92mm as an intake blowing cold air directly over the CPU would help?
Also, my GPU dumps hot air into the front of the case, so having a front exhaust might help suck that out instead of blowing it towards the CPU?
The only possible downside I see is that the case becomes negative pressure. Or it makes no difference and is a huge waste of time!
I’m interested to hear if anyone has tried it already.
Here are the specs for anyone interested: Z590i 11400f with noctua L9i, undervolted, no power limits Sapphire Pulse RX6600, undervolted SF450 PSU (not flipped) 140mm intake, 92mm exhaust
