Universities are considering "adversity scores" to dodge a recent ruling from the Supreme Court, according to The New York Times.

But are they going to get rid of:

  • legacy admissions
  • special rules for kids of politicians, celebrities, and elites.

    I think it may have been pointed out by someone else here, but a lot of people are not even into legacy admissions. The reasons that conservatives support it at all actually is just because they support your right to do what you want with your own property.

    I consider it generally good if more slots at schools are open for my kids, but I respect their rights to do what they want…

    The only reason we were able to overturn affirmative action was because it was race based discrimination which was illegalized in 1967 - something that Libertarians oppose.
