Dairy farmers, increasingly polarized following the COVID-19 pandemic and worried about economic damages, are hiding likely bird flu cases in cows from the feds.

Folks with cattle are likely hiding bird flu cases from the fedgov. I suspect this will be used as a justification for expanded action against the disease.

    That’s the whole system we’ve built. Privatize profits, socialize the costs. It’s not different from fossil fuel companies hiding the effect of climate change and pollution.
