Question of the week:
Are there any live-service games, such as Fallout 76, that you’re currently playing? Anything like Helldivers 2 or any other multiplayer games?
I decided to try Stellaris. The changes post 2.0 are not as complex as I thought. I still miss the wormhole and warp drives though. I also liked picking between laser/bullets/torpedoes. Wish they would bring that back. In this game, I’m a Megacorporation that has almost turned the entire galaxy into it’s subsidiary. Only 1 empire remains, they have a few subjects of their own, but it’s just a matter of time until they’re torn apart and become a subsidiary. After that, all that is left is to destroy Unbidden which should be appearing any time now.
Stellaris never fails!
I’m not playing any multiplayer, I’m currently playing Fallout 2
Good choice.
ive been playing “encased” recently its a pretty cool crpg with a very unique setting its a bit lacking in voice acting and overflowing with text but hey thats just crpg things. its in the fallout mold with skills and wacky perks.
also recently played thru “gedonia” which if u like rpgs is a cool throw back sorta game it was very chill and fun
also also “gtnh” its very greg
I love “overflowing with text” CRPGs.
Also, Gedonia is a Breath of the Wild-like game, right?
i love them too but sometimes its a bit much.
gedonia isnt much like breath of the wild it has a similar chill vibe but besides that they are nothing alike its more of a single player wow or playable runescape.
I’ve been playing a lot of Helldivers 2, Stellaris and Baldur’s Gate 3.
I love strategy games. I played tons of solo Mario Party as a kid, I’ve been hooked on “map games” ever since.
I’ve been playing a lot of Helldivers 2, Stellaris and Baldur’s Gate 3.
Those three games are a common thread here.
Recently I’ve played Cyberpunk, Morrowind, Sekiro, and Victoria 2 and 3. Haven’t finished any of the first 3 though, I’m very lazy when it comes to actually fully finishing games.
My favorite genres are shooters, strategy, and rpgs.
Latest live service game that I’ve been playing is Guilty Gear Strive. One of my friends recommended it to me and it’s been the main thing I’ve been playing for the past month.
Still heavily involved with stardew valley 1.6. I’m not playing any multiplayer games, but I have been dabbling with a bit of suzerain. I’ve pissed off pretty much everyone who isn’t a radical leftist, and I suspect that I’m about to be ousted in a military coup soon. It’s fun.
FarCry 2 is a habit of mine because I love the early 2000s war-torn Africa setting. All the enemies are racists, conscripts or mercenaries and the guns rust and fall apart. It does have an unfortunate contingent of Rhodesia/Apartheid fetishists.
I have recently played Team Fortress 2 with someone from school whose name I won’t mention for anonimity reasons. I have also recently played modded Skyrim Special Edition. I’m not sure whether Tf2 counts as live-service or not, bc it hasn’t had a major update in 6 years. I also plan on buying Helldivers 2
I just started playing realm of the mad god, bullet hell mmo
I’ve decided it’s time to restart my Destiny addiction. I redownloaded 1 and 2 and I’ll be making a new character this time.
Bloodstained recieved its last patch. What a letdown of a game.
Played Recently:
Animal Well. It’s fine, I am not really a metroidvania guy though. Foundry. Also fine. It’s a factory game in the vein of Satisfactory, though with a procedurally generated world instead of a static one. Has potential, needs a lot more time before it really stands out from the competition.
Genres:
RPGs and factory/automation/base-building games for the most part.
Live Service Games:
I periodically have phases where I get pretty into Warframe, and now is one of those times. It’s a pretty good “podcast game” to do other stuff during, I generally really like a lot of the art design and lore of that universe. As far as a live-service game it has a relatively decent business model, basically everything is available in-game, though they will happily take all the money you have if you so choose.
I used to play Dead by Daylight because I love horror, but I am so fantastically bad at that game that I ended up dropping it.
just finished FF7 Rebirth a few days ago and really loved it; I think it’s probably gonna be my personal GOTY. Now I’m working on Stellar Blade and eventually I should have some time to finish Dragon’s Dogma 2, right? …Right???
As for the question I stopped playing Helldivers 2 because I got kinda bored with it. It’s a good game but eventually you get burned out. I might pick it back up when they release some more stuff to do.
Finished Outlast 2 and Alien: Isolation, all achievements, it was literally insane.
I might play something to chill out next lol.
Favorite genres: horror(mostly indie), sci-fi/action adventure and crime.
Kerbal space program. Its the one game I consistently return to when I’m not in the mood for anything else, and recently I haven’t had much time or energy for videogames, so a slow burner like ksp where I can just design crafts after getting home from work, and fly them when I’m off during the weekend has been good.
But damn take2 for what they did to the sequel. I understand it was going to be a Half Life 3 situation with unbelievably high expectations that won’t please everyone, but holy shit they could not have failed any harder.
