I’ve been researching on Google and forums but can’t get a definitive answer… we’re renting a car at Nimes Airport 9/10 and dropping off at Nice Airport on 9/16. Couple of questions:
- I know international drivers permit isn’t required in France but do they really enforce the translated US drivers license? If so, is French embassy the best place to get this service?
- If I have my own personal car insurance that covers 3rd party liability would they accept this? Or do I still have to purchase it from the rental agency?
- If I’ve damage coverage from my credit card, would they accept this? I checked and France is a covered country.
- Lastly, I plan to learn basic French but would Nimes airport staff speak some English as well?
Thank you so much in advance!!
