I was hesitant until I found a Styuls theme that changed the interface to something more akin to old.reddit, where I can see 15 topics on a single page instead of 6. Once I switched to that it felt really comfortable and all of my hesitation using it vanished. Only thing missing is the amount of content to comment on, but not much I myself can do about that.
He seems to be part of lemmy.world (you can see if you click his profile) so there must be themes for lemmy someway somehow. I quite like the default look of kbin! It’s extremely reddit-like which makes things familiar and easy to navigate for me!

I actually quite like the look of kbin aswell but the self hosted option of lemmy really spoke to me.
That’s what makes this whole thing so cool! You get choices and no matter which you choose you get to enjoy everything anyway!
