“Former #Trump WH aide Peter #Navarro has been ordered to report to a Miami prison on March 19 to begin serving a 4 month sentence for defying a subpoena from Jan6 select committee.
Navarro, who is urging a federal appeals court to stay the sentence while he attempts to overturn his conviction, faces the prospect of becoming the first top adviser to Trump to serve jail time for offense related to the effort to subvert election.”

@Snowshadow True sometimes, yes. Because of things you mentioned, sometimes delay is inevitable.
@GottaLaff Too often it is delayed by unscrupulous lawyers and over lenient judges.
@Snowshadow Oh absolutely. And in the US, not enough judges, too many cases, and inequality among defendants
@GottaLaff@mastodon.social Very heavy on the inequality among defendants. We have the same problem here in Canada. Wealthy can hire great lawyers and the poor are screwed.
