And as a bonus - do we have a list that shows which book(s) each character appeared on?
I’ll do it if there isn’t any, but I’m not embarking on a multi-year “notetaking” re-read if the resource already exists!
http://wiki.lspace.org is probably the best place to look (and to share your findings if there isn’t enough detail in an existing list). It’s a continuation of the l-space pages that have been annotating Pratchett for decades.
Thank you! I keep forgetting about the wiki when I love the (out of date) website so much, I appreciate the reminder - found what I needed!
I don’t know that it is every single character, but a pretty extensive list is here: https://wiki.lspace.org/List_of_Pratchett_characters so that might be a good starting point.
I keep seeing posts on reading discworld and I haven’t read the series. The frequency alone is making me thing I need to give it a try.
Not that I’m super neutral or anything, but… you probably should!
The old goto used to be LSPACE:
https://www.lspace.org/books/whos-who/It looks like it hasn’t been updated in 20 years.
Looks like there’s a whole wiki being hosted now:
https://wiki.lspace.org/Category:Discworld_charactersI can’t speak to the accuracy of it, however since Pratchett himself died in 2015 and the last novel came out just afterwards, I think it’s entirely possible that it is.
