A “not so fun” fact that 2 of the last 3 moderate risk outlook days were for events that went on to be classified as derecho events.
We had one of those in Tulsa a month or 2 ago and the winds hit 117 mph. It was crazy. It blew over my fence and we all lost power citywide for about 6 days. I lost about $400 worth of food, my fence fell over, my daughter’s trampoline was flung all the way across the yard and bent in half, and trees were blown over literally everywhere in the city, it was wild. We are used to bad weather here but that storm was absolutely fucking nuts.
