I was reading the Salt Lake Tribune online (pointed to by a Reddit blog). Adware said 106 Ads, trackers, and pop-ups. Brave browser reported 19 trackers.

I don’t know what that is, but it ain’t news.

    @JHB17@mastodon.online @nuncio@mstdn.social @nilsding@pounced-on.me I only use the Brave browser to visit news sites these days. It blocks enough of the pop-ups to make most sites readable. Don’t tell anyone, but it also blocks ads on YouTube.

      @EricFielding@mastodon.social @JHB17@mastodon.online @nuncio@mstdn.social @nilsding@pounced-on.me If you use Firefox, one of my favorite extensions is ‘Auto Skip Youtube Ads’ which isn’t a blocker, instead it clicks skip ad the second it appears automagically.
