Milwaukee religious leaders representing Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Roman Catholic and Unitarian congregations denounced the rise of Christian nationalism and its threat to democracy.

Christian nationalism is the belief that America should be defined by Christianity, and that the government should take active steps to keep it that way.

What about the “separation of church and state”?
