The intent is to impact your subconscious with a certain positive perception of the brand. You don’t have a choice in it, that’s why it’s subconscious. Just seeing the brand at all increases the likelihood that more people will consider the brand in the future.
And it doesn’t have to be you. It’s a statistics game of X people see it so Y% are more likely to choose Starbucks.
