Also, rich people didn’t deal with Covid because of their wealth. Millions died because they wanted people to get back to the office and buying things. The people who got rich were entertainment and tech companies. The vaccine wasn’t developed because rich people knew what to do, it was done because the government paid companies to do it and let them keep the money. They then stopped people from getting access to good vaccines through intellectual property and patents, allowing them to get even more money.
Well yea, for example in my country some problem solvers got rich during COVID by overcharging the state for imports of medical and hygienic supplies, because our industrial network is so eroded due to globalization-relocalization that apparently we aren’t even able to manufacture some simple face masks anymore. Wealth accumulation never stops, even in a recessive scenario. It just gets accumulated in less hands.
