When I connect to my work VPN for remote desktop, it immediately disables IPv4 connectivity on my home network. As soon as I disconnect from the VPN, the connection resumes. IPv6 connectivity is constant throughout all of this, but I noticed in network settings that the VPN only makes use of IPv4 and not IPv6, so I’m wondering if somehow the VPN is “stealing” my IPv4 connectivity.

Does anyone know of anything I can try to let me use IPv4 while connected to my VPN? This problem began a few days ago and also occurred sporadically over the last few months while connected to my work VPN.

I’m on Windows 10 and ethernet.
