E-Crime Rapper ‘Punchmade Dev’ Debuts Card Shop

The rapper and social media personality Punchmade Dev is perhaps best known for his flashy videos singing the praises of a cybercrime lifestyle. With memorable hits such as “Internet Swiping” and “Million Dollar Criminal” earning millions of views, Punchmade has leveraged his considerable following to peddle tutorials on how to commit financial crimes online. But until recently, there wasn’t much to support a conclusion that Punchmade was actually doing the cybercrime things he promotes in his songs.

p.s., yes, that is a functioning diamond-crusted card skimming device hanging from his neck.

    @briankrebs@infosec.exchange

    That was a great read.

    Why do I get the feeling that this guy did not exactly tax your sleuthing capabilities?

      @TheSauce@mstdn.ca a reader sent me some of his social media profiles, and I was ofc hooked after seeing that glitzy skimmer necklace. But the KY SoS office search was the very first thing I tried after reading his Spotify profile saying the name of his record label.

    @briankrebs@infosec.exchange is that really a skimmer, or just a magstripe reader? It’s certainly not very easy to conceal…

    Either way, now I want to get a bunch of adhesive rhinestones to bedazzle my smart card reader… 🤣 (Not used for skimming, a normal card reader!)

      @rpavlik@hachyderm.io it’s a skimmer in my book if someone’s walking around with one of these in their hands, which is literally what the necklace has: a hand underneath it.

    @briankrebs@infosec.exchange Been aware of this guy for about a year now. I don’t understand how he operates so out in the open without any real consequences (yet)
