I’ve been finding myself heading over to reddit more to find out things because the fediverse is bereft of A-leagues discussions and KEEPUP is painful to read as always.
I really want there to be a corner of the fediverse where like minded people can discuss the greatest football leagues in the world. We don’t need a massive amount of people. In the early days of the A-League there was The Football Blog on SMH/TheAge and even though there were really only a dozen or so regular commenters the discussion was vibrant and engaging. Even the early days of the aleague subreddit the community was very small, we just need engagement.
So who is still here?
I’m thinking we can start with generic pre and post round threads, open forums to highlight whatever your looking forward to in he coming games or to vent about what ground your gears or floated your boat about the prior weekend games. I’ll start tomorrow morning.
Yay? Nay? Shit is this app still installed?
Not an A-league watcher, sorry, but i applaud your enthusiasm.
Just had a look through the post history, looks like the community has been supported by only a few posters, they might have become a bit burned out. So, I’m sure they’ll appreciate you jumping into a more active role. It might refresh their enthusiasm as well!
I just like to lurk. Too bad the whole sub didn’t just move to Lemmy. I don’t like having to click those Reddit links to view the conversations, but I will if it’s anything of interest.
I’m still here but I’ve stopped using social media on my phone now so my time spent on Lemmy has dropped significantly. The major reason I moved from reddit was because I was mostly a mobile user, which meant the changes affected me significantly. Now that I access both through a desktop browser I don’t really have a problem with returning to /r/ALeague so I’ve been commenting there. I’ll try to join in here too if other people are active.
